 Clam Choder Recipe

Clam Choder Recipe Ingredients:
  • 13oz Clams - minced, drained
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1½ cups Potatoes - peeled, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/3 cup Onion - chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 cup Cream
  • Oyster Crackers - Garnish

2 - 4

Clam Choder Recipe Instructions:
  • Place bacon in a 2 qt casserole dish. Cover and microwave 4 to 5 minutes, or until crisp. Remove bacon, crumble and put to one side.
     

  • Drain clams then add liquid to bacon drippings. Stir in potatoes and onion.
     

  • Cover and microwave on high 9 to 12 minutes or until potatoes soften.
     

  • Mix flour into half the milk. Add flour mixture and remaining milk, cream, clams, salt and pepper to hot liquid. Cover and microwave 4 to 5 minutes.
     

  • Garnish with butter, oyster crackers and crumbled bacon and serve.

  • Remember to only add a little salt to fish dishes
