 Mussels in Whitehaven Sauce Recipe

Mussels in Whitehaven Sauce Recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 lb Mussels
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Shallots
  • 2 Garlic Cloves - finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • Parsley - minced


Time: 25 min
Serves: 2

Mussels in Whitehaven Sauce Recipe Instructions:

  • Clean/Scrub mussels and discard any that are not tightly closed.
     

  • In a Dutch oven heat olive oil  over medium heat and cook shallots, garlic until tender. Mix in wine and paprika.
     

  • Heat wine mixture to boiling then add mussels. Cover and boil until mussels open about 3 - 5 minutes.
     

  • Remove mussels to bowl with slotted spoon; keep warm.
     

  • Cook remaining liquid in pan over high heat until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
     

  • Pour sauce over mussels and garnish with parsley.
