Mussels Recipe |
Mussels Recipe Ingredients:- 4½ lb Mussels - cleaned
- 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 5 Garlic Cloves - minced
- 1 Medium Onion - sliced
- 3/4 cup Dry White Wine
- 1/2 cup 35% Cream
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 cup chopped Fresh Parsley - with stems
- 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
- Salt and Pepper - to taste

Mussels Recipe Instructions:Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and brown. Add the onions, stir occasionally and cook until the onion softens. Add the mussels and parsley stems, put the lid on the pot and turn the heat to high. Add the wine and steam, shaking the pot frequently, until the mussels open, about 5 - 8 minutes. Strain the liquid and return to the pot and reduce to half. Shell all of the mussels and set aside. Pour the cream into the mussel reduction and reduce until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to your taste. Serve with your choice of bread.
