 Recipe Mussels Gratinee

Recipe Mussels Gratinee Ingredients:
  • 400g Frozen Mussels - thawed
  • 1 Onion - finely chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic - finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 150ml White Wine
  • 2 tablespoons Concentrated Tomato Puree
  • Salt and White Pepper - to taste
  • pinch of Cayenne
  • pinch of Dried Thyme
  • pinch of Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 4 tablespoons freshly grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 25g Butter

Recipe Mussels Gratinee Instructions:
  • Heat the oil in a sauté pan, fry the onion, garlic in the oil until transparent.
     

  • Mix in the wine, tomato puree, season with salt, pepper, cayenne and thyme, cook over a low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Stir in the sugar.
     

  • Spoon the tomato sauce into four ovenproof dishes and top with the mussels.
     

  • Sprinkle the chopped parsley and grated Cheddar over the mussels and dot with butter.
     

  • Bake in a hot oven (200 c, 400 f, gas 6) until the cheese begins to melt.
