 Indian Prawn and Spinach Recipe

Indian Prawn and Spinach Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 lb Peeled Prawns
  • Salt - to taste
  • 5 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 4 tablespoons chopped Fresh Coriander
  • 4 Green Chilies - seeded
  • 2 Dried Red Chilies - seeded
  • 5 tablespoons Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 5 Onions - sliced
  • 1 lb Spinach - chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 2½ cups Water
  • Cooked Rice - for 2 to 4 people

Indian Prawn and Spinach Recipe Instructions:
  • Sprinkle all the prawns with salt and set aside.
     

  • Grind the garlic, cumin seeds, coriander and chilies to a paste and combine with the prawns.
     

  • Heat the oil and ghee in a frying pan, fry the onions until browned. Add the prawn mixture, spinach, turmeric and salt and simmer, stirring, until the mixture is well browned.
     

  • Add in the water, bring to the boil then simmer until the ingredients are cooked and the ghee appears on the surface.
     

  • Serve hot with rice.
