| Malaysian Style Prawns and Okra Recipe | Malaysian Style Prawns and Okra Recipe Ingredients:- 300g King Prawns – peeled, deveined, butterflied
- 200g Okra – sliced in half lengthwise, washed
- 3 Cocktail Potatoes – washed, cut
- 1 Tomato – diced roughly
- 1 tablespoon Chilli Paste
- 3 Small Shallots
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 5 Brazil Nuts
- 4 Anchovy Fillets
- 1 heaped teaspoon Tamarind Paste
- 2 teaspoon grated Palm Sugar
- Oil - for frying
- Water - as needed
- Cooked Steamed Rice - for 2 people

| Malaysian Style Prawns and Okra Recipe Instructions:Blend the shallots and garlic in a food processor, until fine. Add the chilli, brazil nuts, anchovies and 2-3 tablespoons of water. Process to combine into a medium-thick paste. Heat oil in a saucepan then add in paste and fry till fragrant – do not burning, add in a cup of water, tamarind, potatoes and tomato.
Place the lid on and cook for about 10 - 12 minutes. Add okra and water if needed. Add sugar and salt to taste. Cook on medium to low heat for 10-15 minutes. When the okra is tender, add prawns and combine well. Cook through. Serve hot with steamed rice.
