Shrimp Gumbo Recipe |
Shrimp Gumbo Recipe Ingredients:- 1/3 cup Oil
- 1 lb Shrimp - peeled, deveined
- 1/2 cup chopped Scallions
- 2 cups Fresh Okra - sliced
- 3 Garlic Cloves - minced
- 1½ teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon White Pepper
- 2 cups Water
- 1 cup canned Tomatoes
- 2 Whole Bay Leaves
- 6 drops Tabasco Sauce
- 1½ cups Cooked Rice

Shrimp Gumbo Recipe Instructions:In a large skillet heat oil for 10 minutes. Add in the shrimp, scallions, garlic, salt and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes. Add water, tomatoes, and bay leaves to skillet; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaves then stir in Tabasco sauce.
To Serve place a large scoop of rice into 6 bowls and spoon gumbo on top of rice.
